Stream Restoration
Restoring a worn-down creek. Protecting wildlife. Creating better access for nature lovers. That’s what our team is working toward at Broke Leg Falls—and we’re just getting started.
At Broke Leg Falls in Ezel, Kentucky, a vital stream restoration project is underway to bring new life to an eroded creek that’s long been impacted by weather and time. The goal is simple: support local wildlife, enhance natural beauty, and create a better experience for hikers and nature lovers.
Environmentally Conscious Beginnings
In the early stages of the project, our team has taken important steps to minimize environmental disruption:
Laid down fabric-covered rock pads to create temporary roads and parking areas (lay down yard) for large equipment.
Extended existing roads using new pipe infrastructure for better site access.
Constructed a support frame to elevate nearby telephone wires, ensuring utility safety throughout construction.
These first steps help establish the groundwork for safe, low-impact work while preserving the surrounding landscape.
Looking Ahead
As the project progresses, we’ll share updates on erosion control, habitat restoration, and more. We’re excited to see this space transform into something both beautiful and sustainable.
